I was doing a little late night surfing the other day and I came upon a picture of one of the most beautiful snare drums I have ever seen. Just look at the intricate, swirling patterns of the wood grain. This is clearly not just an instrument, but a real work of art.
This is a 5-1/2" x 14" (10 lug) snare with a shell made from Carpethian Elm wood.
Featuring authentic vintage shells crafted from Gretsch's historical "Vineyard", this is just one of many "one of a kind" snare drums produced in honor of Gretsch’s 150th Anniversary.
If you happen to be the lucky owner of this beautiful work of art, or if you know who the lucky owner is, please contact me. I would love to know that this drum sounds as fabulous as it looks.
